On 25 May in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov held the first in this year meeting of the Supervisory Council of the Innopolis Special Economic Zone (SEZ) which considered and approved 10 new projects of industrial and IT-companies with the total amount of investments of 3bn rubles, which will create 784 jobs.
As many as 6 new companies have become residents of the zone. Thus, the Batareon is planning to launch the first stage of production of lithium-ion batteries in 2025, the Tulpar Interiors Engineering Design, specializing in development and manufacture of components and interiors for water, air and land transport, will start its work in Laishevo region in 2024, the Rayluks Company will produce LED and sterilization lamps and their parts, the MVS Indata (the daughter of the MTS) is planning to build a modular EDGE Data Processing Center to rent rack units to commercial and state structures, the United Bank Technologies will develop a software for integration of the Islamic banking into automated bank systems of credit institutions and the Gross Digital will develop software for operational monitoring of key indicators for production and distribution of food products.
The following four companies became partners of the Innopolis SEZ: the DigitlAutoSystems will extablish an international center of competences for enterprises interested in introducing robotics for modernization of their production, The MKS Group IS presupposes R&D of domestic range of CCTVs with inbuilt processing, the NtechLab will implement the FindFace project of high accuracy face recognition mechanism and the MStroy Company (the daughter of the Mostostroy-11) will develop digital solutions for using the MStroy platform for construction management.
Speaking at the meeting, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov said that in the last year the Innopolis SEZ is focused on diversification of its work by expanding the range of spheres the resident companies can develop in. “We are happy to see new and absolutely different companies in the SEZ including those which will work not only the Popov and Lobachevskiy technical parks, but also in the FarmMed Polis and Innopark. What is more important in that all these companies represent projects facilitating development of the technological sovereignty of Russia,” he added.

Today the Innopolis Special Economic Zone houses 338 companies which have already invested more than 90bn dollars in their projects. In 2022 the amount of revenues of all companies made 58.9bn rubles, the collected taxes to budgets of all levels reached 5.6bn, and the number of created jobs – 7 350.
