Tatarstan delegation studies experience of Uzbekistan in citizen self-government

On 22-23 May on errand from the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, a delegation from the republic visited Uzbekistan to study the positive experience of Tashkent and Dzhizak region in citizen self-government.

The delegation headed by the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan  Asgat Safarov comprised heads of some regional ministries and departments and heads of municipalities. 

During the visit the delegation had meetings with Hokim of Tashkent Shavkat Umurzakov, Hokim of the Dzhizak region Ergash Saliev and heads of Uzbekistan ministries responsible for implementation of the citizen self-government policy. Representatives of Tatarstn also discussed issues of cooperation with heads and active members of mahallas in Tashkent and Dzhizak.
