Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in the Anhui – Tatarstan business forum in China

On 24 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a business-forum “Anhui – Tatarstan” held in Hefei (China).

The main branches of economy of the province, which houses more than 8500 high-tech enterprises, are car building, manufacture of construction materials, medications and food products, logistics, power economy and financial services.

Representing the Hefei potential, the Head of the Foreign Affairs Office of Anhui Provincial People's Government Qin Junfeng stated that long-time good relations between the province and Tatarstan laid the foundation for cooperation. “Mister Minnikhanov is our old friend and yesterday at their meeting with our Governor they agreed to expand cooperation,” he said. 

The province is among top ten in its GDP in China and is actively developing twin-city relations and is planning to organize a forum with the cities. “We hope to reach an agreement with your republic soon and I am sure that due to such forums we can deepen our cooperation,” Qin Junfeng concluded.

In his turn Rustam Minnikhanov said: “Tatarstan attaches great attention to development of cooperation with China within relations of two countries .Governments and business circles of Russia and China put their efforts into expanding interaction in various spheres. On our side we are ready to take active part in these processes at the regional level.” 

He also told that the republic is interested in developing interaction with the province in high tech, electronics, power engineering and biomedicine spheres.
