On 19 May at a plenary session of the of the ХIV International Economic Forum “Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum 2023” held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin read loud the welcoming address of Russian President Putin to participants of the Forum which said: “ Dear friends, please accept my cordial welcome on occasion of the opening of the ХIV International Economic Forum in Kazan.
Russia and Muslim countries have traditionally close ties both bilateral and with the OIC, which are based on partnership, respect, sovereignty and civilizational originality of each other. We are united by commitment to develop more just multipolar world order based on the international law.
Today Islamic countries are actively developing and reach substantial achievements in trade and finances, innovations and scientific and applied research. Russia is open for the broadest business and humanitarian cooperation with them.
We are interested in strengthening already existing relations and obtaining new partners in promoting agricultural and industrial cooperation and developing new transport and logistics chains.
I would like to emphasize that Russian Muslims play an important role in expanding international contacts, which is confirmed by the current Forum.
I am sure that work of the Strategic Vision Group of Russia-Islamic World and the International Economic forum KazanForum will promote strengthening of interaction between business communities of Russia and Muslim countries and open new possibilities for joint projects at inter-regional and inter-state levels. I wish you fruitful work and all the best.”
