Rustam Minnikhanov meets a delegation from the Sultanate of Oman

On 19-May at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and a delegation from the Sultanate of Oman discussed issues of further cooperation in economics and industry and increasing the mutual trade turnover.

Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov said that cooperation with Islamic countries has always been one of the leading spheres of foreign economic and international work of Tatarstan . Thus the region successfully interacts with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and its structural units and institutes and has established close business contacts with such states as the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Qatar, he said.

“Huge work is done by the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group, which I am the head of by the errand of Russian President Vladimir Putin”, the Rais of the republic said. Having mentioned that a representative of Oman also is the member of the group, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the Oman delegation for their visit to Tatarstan and participation in the ХIV International Economic Forum “Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum 2023”.
