Rustam Minnikhanov meets the delegation of OIC Youth Ministers

On May 18, on the sidelines of the International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum 2023”, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the delegation of OIC Youth Ministers.

Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that Tatarstan pays special attention to the issues of youth policy. There are all opportunities and the necessary infrastructure to fulfill the potential of young people. There are special programmes to support young scientists and young families. Thematic festivals and forums are held regularly.

Rais of the republic emphasized the importance of the "Movement of the First" for the education and self-development of youth. “Our future belongs to the youth. We have always attached particular importance to the educational process, but the educational sphere is also important. The ideas and approaches laid down in the “Movement of the First” are very proper and useful,” Minnikhanov said.

He also said that the issues of international youth cooperation traditionally occupy an important place in the KazanForum programme.

In his turn, President of the OIC Youth Forum Taha Ayhan emphasized the high level of organization of events held in Kazan as the youth capital of the OIC in 2022. He expressed confidence that the experience of Kazan will be used by future holders of this status.

Further, the meeting discussed the implementation of joint programmes and projects under the OIC and the exchange of experience in youth policy.
