Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in a meeting of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin with the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade

On May 18, on the sidelines of KazanForum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin with the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi.

“Tatarstan actively contributes to strengthening of Russian-Emirati relations. Visits of Tatarstan delegations to your country have become a good tradition,” Minnikhanov emphasized, addressing the guests.

He also said that at the beginning of May at the investment forum in the UAE discussed the development of cooperation with the Minister, now the Emirati delegation arrived on a return visit to Kazan. “We are glad to our cooperation. In recent years, we have been working in a variety of areas. For us, Russia is a strategic partner,” Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi said.

The meeting also discussed the prospects for the development of the North-South project. “Today at the session we spoke about the North-South international transport corridor. This is a very interesting project for us, as we can work directly with partners,” the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade concluded.
