Rustam Minnikhanov and the Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow have a telephone conversation

On 16 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow had a telephone conversation, where the national leader of the Turkmens said he was sure that the forthcoming International economic forum “Russia-Islamic world: KazanForum” will be traditionally held at the highest level in Kazan.

In his turn Rustam Minnikhanov said that the decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin to give the federal status to the forum sparked off the interest of the world community to it.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow informed that Turkmenistan has sent a representative delegation to the forum, which comprises heads of such spheres as industry, transport and construction. On the top of it there will be a stand of Turkmenistan of the sidelines of the Forum, he said.

The Chairman of the People's Council paid special attention to importance of new logistics corridors such as North-South. In his turn Rustam Minnikhanov stated that there is a round table meeting dedicated to this issue on the Forum.

In conclusion of the conversation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow asked to pass his warm regards to the First Tatarstan President, the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev.
