Rustam Minnikhanov meets the new Consul of Iran in Kazan

On 11 May in the Government House of the republic the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the newly appointed Consul of Iran in Kazan Davood Mirzahani, whom he congratulated with being assigned to Tatarstan. “Taking into consideration the level of our relations with Iran, close economic and cultural ties, I hope your work in Tatarstan will be interesting and fruitful,” he said. 

The Rais of the republic emphasized that Tatarstan attaches great attention to interaction with Iran within the framework of Russia-Iran relations and stated a great potential of cooperation in trade and economic sphere, education and science, tourism and culture. 

Rustam Minnikhanov also informed that a delegation from Iran, which comprises official and business representatives, is taking part in the International economic forum “Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum” which starts in Kazan next week.
