On 2 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov and the Head of Muslyumovo region of the republic Albert Khuzin got acquainted with the pace of spring field work in the region.
At his meeting with farmers by the settlement of Urazmetyevo, the Rais of the republic was told by Albert Khuzin that 82 per cent of 75 thousand arable hectares have been cropped, including 13 thousand winter and 59 thousand spring crops. He said that about 250 people and 160 units of agricultural machinery are working in the fields and it is planned to complete the sowing campaign in the next 3-4 days.
Marat Zyabbarov stated that Muslyumovo region ranks 6th in the efficiency of agriculture in the republic, having moved up already for 8 positions in the last 2 years. However there still are issues to be considered such as decrease of the cattle in private farms, the Minister said.
Rustam Minnikhanov assessed high achievements of the region in a number of indicators and said: “We see how the work in organized in the region, everything is working very smoothly.”
Later the same day the Rais of the republic visited the August-Muslyum dairy complex established 5 years ago with 4 127 heads of cattle including 2 247 milk cows which produce more than 63 tonnes of milk daily.
Rustam Minnikhanov was told about the new dairy-goods complex, the automated cross-ventilation system managing microclimate at the farm and 18 automated milking installations.
