On 29 April, speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin informed that the yearly housing construction plan of the republic has been completed by 45 per cent with 1.4m square meters commissioned.
He told that the commercial construction sector was leading with 46 per cent of the yearly plan completed, the social mortgage construction plan was fulfilled by 42 per cent and the individual housing construction by 45 per cent.
Marat Ayzatullin also reported about implementation of construction programmes of social and cultural facilities, modernization of utilities infrastructure and improvement, where the total of 42 per cent of the planned has been completed.
He informed the participants of the meeting about construction going on in the education, culture and healthcare spheres, improvement of public spaces and work going on at 5 facilities by the national Ecology project
Marat Ayzatullin reported about construction of covered football pitches, universal sports grounds, children’s recreation camps and buildings of the rural executive committees.
Speaking about modernization of engineering networks, he told that 5 regional and 2 federal programmes were under implementation, in particular supplying drinkable water to population and modernization of water treatment plants and sewage networks.
Speaking about work safety on construction sites, the Minister informed that four accidents happened in the current year and the safety checks are going on, with 335 of them done by the Tatarstan Inspectorate of the State Construction Supervision, 772 - by self-regulated organizations and 210 by the State Investments and Construction Department. He said that 314 violations revealed by the checks since the beginning of the year have been rectified.
Rustam Minnikhanov attracted attention of the participants of the meeting that there are many complaints coming from residents of the republic considering timely waste removal, illegal landfills and increased waste management charges. “This issue should be under control,” he said.
