Rustam Minnikhanov meets Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev

On April 24, during his working visit to Uzbekistan, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Minnikhanov thanked Mirziyoyev for his personal support of all Tatarstan projects in Uzbekistan and emphasized that the trust between the Presidents of the two countries - Vladimir Putin and Shafkat Mirziyoyev - provide ample opportunities for cooperation at the interregional level

Mirziyoyev also emphasized the success of all ongoing joint projects. Last year, the trade turnover between Tatarstan and Uzbekistan exceeded 290 million US dollars. Growth is fixed at 50 per cent.

During the meeting, Minnikhanov focused on Russia’s interaction with Muslim countries. In particular, he said that this year by the decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the international economic forum «Russia-Islamic world: KazanForum» has a federal status. Minnikhanov invited delegation of Uzbekistan to take part in this event.
