On 24 April the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who came on a working trip to Uzbekistan took part in a ceremony of opening the Technical Park in the city of Jizzakh, which was established as a result of the previous visit of Rustam Minnikhanov in October 2022 when at their meeting the President of Uzbeskistan and the Rais of Tatarstan came to an agreement to establish the second joint technical park.
Specialists of the Khimgrad Company prepared the master-plan of the park which will house up to 36 companies-residents with the total number of 1 100 jobs and will attract 60 m dollars of investments.
The park was designed to localize production of foreign companies in Uzbekistan and ramp up cooperation between local and foreign manufacturers and it has a comprehensive infrastructure and allocates land plots on the leasehold or purchase rights basis.
Speaking at the event, Rustam Minnikhanov said: “We highly appreciate possibility of developing cooperation with Uzbekistan within friendly Russia-Uzbekistan relations. This is a special merit of Presidents of our countries Vladimir Putin and Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev.”
He reminded that slightly more than a year ago the first joint technical park Chirchik was launched which today implements 20 investment projects with the total amount of investments of 127m dollars. The produce of the park is exported to Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, he concluded.
The Hokim of Jizzakh region Ergash Sakiev and Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Aleksey Besprozvannykh also took part in the ceremony.
