Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in a ceremonial Eid al-Fitr namaz

On 21 April the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a ceremonial Eid al-Fitr namaz held by the Chairman of the Tatarstan Spiritual Board of Muslims and Mufti of Tatarstan Kamil Samigullin in Galeev Mosque in Kazan. 

Addressing the audience, the Mufti of republic read loud a congratulatory telegram from Russian President Vladimir Putin which stressed the value of the contribution of Muslim organizations in supporting inter-ethnic and inter-religious dialogue and in patriotic upbringing of the growing generation. 

He also read the congratulation from Rustam Minnikhanov, where he stressed that in this time difficult for our country it is especially important to stay true to traditional ideals and values and strengthen faith, morality and responsibility for families.  

In his sermon the Mufti warned against evil speaking and spreading false news including those in social media.
