On 13 April, speaking at his meeting with the Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia to Belarus Boris Gryzlov, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who came on a working visit to Belarus, said: " “Cooperation between Russia and Belarus continues to develop based on principles of openness, equality and mutual respect and their interaction and integration processes become more sizable. And you as the Russian Ambassador to Mink deserve big credit for this. We hope that cooperation between Tatarstan and Belarus also facilitates strengthening of Russia-Belarus relations”.
In his turn Boris Gryzlov thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for the visit of such a representative delegation to the Embassy. “I am very pleased to host you in our Embassy. Entities of Russian Federation actively come to Belarus and I have heard your colleagues have already managed to do much work. I always have warm feelings remembering my visits to Kazan and want to ask you to render my best wishes to Mintimer (Sharipovich) Shaimiev,” he said.
Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that for many years Belarus is continuously among leaders of Tatarstan foreign trade partners. However, the potential amount is much higher that is why this visit of the large delegation from the republic has been organized to raise it, he said.
After the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov laid a wreath to the Victory Monument in Minsk.
