Farid Mukhametshin hands in state awards of Russia and Tatarstan

On 30 March in the Kazan Kremlin the Chairman of the Tatarstan State Council Farid Mukhametshin handed in state awards of Russia and the republic to 46 people - workers of science and culture, education, healthcare, oil industry and agriculture and public and municipal servants.

Opening the official ceremony, Farid Mukhametshin said: “Every generation needs initiative, concerned people who are professionals each in his or her sphere and fortunately we have a lot of such in our republic. You are multiplying glory and riches of Russia and Tatarstan and set benchmarks for the young generation. Mostly due to you the republic holds tightly its leading positions in the main macro-economic indicators and is among the leading industrial centers of Russia. “

Speaking about the social and economic development of the republic, he informed that the last year the RGP was more than 3.8trillion rubles with the 10.6 per cent industrial production growth and 573bn rubles of construction. Farmers of the republic collected more than 5m tonnes of grain.

The Chairman of the Council said that Tatarstan is taking an active part in implementation of national projects and 34 regional state programme in the spheres pf economic and social life of the society and concluded by saying: “Today as never before it is important to provide consolidation of our whole society and implement fully tasks set by the President of the country before the state power bodies and the civic community”.
