Rustam Minnikhanov at the summarizing collegium of the Tatarstan Ministry of Youth Affairs: Tatarstan must become a reliable partner and the most active participant of “The Movement of the First”

On 1 March, speaking at a collegium of the Tatarstan Ministry of Youth Affairs, which summarized results of the Ministry’s work in 2023 and set forth tasks for 2023 and was held in Kazan with participation of the Deputy Head of the Federal Agency on Youth Affairs Damir Fattakhov and the Russian Deputy Presidential envoy in the Volga Federal District Oleg Mashkovtsev (who joined the meeting by a video conference) , the Rais (Head) of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov said  that youth policy has always been and is a priority in our work and Tatarstan is one of the leaders of the country in efficiency of its implementation.

After the regional Ministry of Youth Affairs Rinat Sadykov gave his keynote report, Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his gratitude to the Administration of the country and Russian President Vladimir Putin for the support given to the youth policy.

“Today under conditions of the special military operation we can see how the whole country united around our national leader Vladimir Putin and our soldiers. And our young people did not stay apart and are taking the most active part in humanitarian mission in the new Russian territories and helping participants of the operation and their families, to forced migrants from Donetsk and Lugansk and in reconstruction of Lisichansk”, he said.

 “We are trying to create all conditions for development of our children and young people by allocating grants, developing infrastructure and strengthening material and technical facilities. Currently we are facing new challenges and the most important of them are issues of developing love for the Motherland, the feeling of respect to the Fatherland and readiness to come to its protection. And the most important task in this respect is to have the meaningful content of our work. The key role here lies with the Movement of the First,” the Rais of the republic said.

Having told about a meeting he had on 28 February with the administration of the Movement, Rustam Minnikhanov reminded about students who comprise a special category of young people and one of the main institutes of their socialization. “It is important to be aware of all issues worrying students and provide comprehensive support to students’ unions and  amalgamations and first of all to the Students’ League of the republic as this is the primal task of the Ministry,” he said.

Rustam Minnikhanov attracted attention of the participants of the meeting to the importance of systemic work with the youngsters in preventing their involvement into destructive communities and amalgamations and reminded that Tatarstan ranks the first in the country by the youth policy infrastructure.

Having specially mentioned importance of working with rural young people and international work of the Ministry, in conclusion Rustam Minnikhanov handed in state awards to  the most outstanding employees of the Ministry.
