Rais (Head) of Tatarstan takes part in the 41st session of the State Council of the republic

On 22 February the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the 41st session of the State Council of the republic held by its Chairman Farid Mukhametshin.

The session discussed 28 issues including the report of regional Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksey Sokolov about results of the Ministry work in 2022, who said that according to information of the Ministry the republic is among one of the most affluent enforcement regions. The number of serious and especially heinous crimes, including murders, rapes, burglaries and robberies has decreased substantially while the number of solved cases grew, he said.

One of the main priorities for work of the Ministry is IT crimes and number of solved “remote” forgeries and thefts grew nearly five-fold, he said.

The Deputy Minister also informed about targeted work in dissolution of criminal groups, struggling against drug consumption and circulation and involvement of underage into illegal drug trafficking.

Speaking about economic crimes, Aleksey Sokolov reported that in 2022 the Ministry revealed more than 2 500 such cases, 1 500 of which were serious and especially heinous. He informed that the total amount of recovery of damage losses made mealy 36 bn rubles and currently 12 criminal cases related to the financial pyramids are under investigation.

“The Tatarstan Internal Ministry gives special priority to ensuring sustainable work of regional economy and  stable operational environment  under the conditions of the special military operation”,  he added.
