On 22 February the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting summarizing work of the Tatarstan Arbitration Court in 2022.

Speaking to participants of the meeting, he said that 2022 passed under conditions of the unstable economic situation and the Russian President and Government took a set of measures to protect economy including the support of entrepreneurs.

Rustam Minnikhanov said that due to joint efforts of the federal center and state bodies of the republic, Tatarstan managed to increase the GRP, the industrial production index and a number of other economic indicators.

“It goes without saying that one of the most important tasks is shaping the favourable business and investments climate, and the judicial power plays a special role in this work, and I am sure the team of the Arbitration Court will continue coping with its tasks,” he said.

Having informed that the tax arrears in the republic amounted to 15.2bn rubles by January 1, 2023, Rustam Minnikhanov said that courts play important role in enforced tax collection as the institute of bankruptcy both of physical and legal entities should not be a creephole for evading tax payments.

In his report about the work of the Court, its Chairman Maksim Borovkov informed that in total last year the Arbitration Court  considered 87 742 cases which was by 12.6 per cent more than in the previous year and added that 64 per cent of the cases were about bankruptcy and isolated disputes.

In the end of the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov handed in Tatarstan state awards to the most outstanding employees of the Court.
