Tatarstan Ministry of Culture plans to create an embroidered map of the republic

On 21 February, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova informed that the Ministry is planning to create “The Embroidered Map of Tatarstan”.

“Every our municipality has its own boundaries and every region will use in embroidery technique and colors traditional for people living in this place. There are no any limitations and the most important is that every region expresses itself in this piece of the common map, which then will be put all together to make a single canvas”, she explained and added that the Ministry is planning to make a presentation of the resulting map at the next summarizing meeting in the end of the current year.

She also informed that the Ministry has published the map of ethnic festivals, that includes 80 events, on its site where everyone can get the information about the brief description, the date and the venue of each festival.
