Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in a meeting of the supervisory council of the Agency of Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects

On 9 February the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov by videoconference a took part in a meeting of the supervisory council of the Agency of Strategic Initiatives held by Russian President Vladimir Putin and dedicated to summarizing results of the Agency work in 2022 and its plans for 2023, including implementation of the social initiatives and the programmes of training specialists for achieving technological sovereignty.

After the Russian President greeted the participants of the meeting and informed about its agenda, the Director General of the Agency Svetlana Chupsheva reported about its work in 2022 and plans for 2023.

The meeting also discussed assessment of regional power bodies work in providing quality living environment for people in Russian entities.

Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov said that the ranking of the life quality is an efficient tool which makes it possible to study problematic issues worrying the population. “The ranking quite justifiably stressed the load of administrative functions on physicians which makes nearly 52 per cent in the republic. To solve this problem, the Regional Clinical Hospital has introduced the standards of quality system and informatization of medical services”, he said.

Tatarstan Rais also informed that in the last ten years 253 kindergartens and 76 schools were built in Tatarstan and the republic is planning to build 11 more schools and 4 kindergartens in the current year. “Due also to the federal support all these facilities are in line with modern requirements and equipped with advanced technique. It is also important that during construction process we use recycled materials which makes it possible to build qualitative facilities with minimum costs”, he said. He also told about work of the University of Talents and added that this practice has been scaled up to five more regions of Russia.

Giving his evaluation to work of the republic, Vladimir Putin said to Rustam Minnikhanov: “I would like to thank you for training specialists who are solving national tasks at the federal level. We have discussed necessity of working with the human capital and in this respect Tatarstan shows a very good example.”

He stated that the republic makes a great contribution into the development of Russia in the whole and into the construction branch in particular. “I would like to stress that specialists coming from Tatarstan have achieved outstanding results in housing construction in 2022 which are the best in the modern history of Russia” he said.
