RF Presidential Commissioner for the Rights of Children Maria Lvova- Belova takes part in a meeting on protection of rights and legal interests of children

On 31 January RF Presidential Commissioner for the Rights of Children Maria Lvova- Belova, who came on a working trip to Kazan, took part in an inter-departmental meeting on protection of rights and legal interests of children held in the Tatarstan Government house with participation of the regional Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Protection Elmira Zaripova, children’s rights Ombudsman of the republic Irina Volynets and the member of the Russian State Duma Tatyana Larionova.

Speaking at the meeting, the regional Minister of Science and Education Ilsur Khadiullin reported in detail about the programme of supporting parentless children being implemented in the republic, about the road map on preventing orphanhood and about special attention paid to assignment of children to a family (replacement family).

He also told that in 2015 the republic began working in preservation of a child’s birth family (in Kazan, Naberezhnyye Chelny and Bugulma) and about a social hotel organized for temporary accommodation of children.

The First Deputy Minister of Healthcare of the republic Almir Abashen told the participants of the meeting about work done for organizing recreation and health improvement of children together with the replacement families and special trainings organized for such parents.
