On January 24, speaking at a summing up meeting of Tatarstan Ministry of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Utilities on the results of its work in 2022 and tasks for 2023 held at the Bashir Rameyev IT-Park in Kazan, with participation of State Counsellor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev, Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing and Utility Services of Russia Nikita Stasishin and First Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Rustam Nigmatullin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that in Tatarstan, for the second year in a row, the volume of commissioned housing exceeded 3 million square meters, which made 102,7 per cent compared to 2021.

Minnikhanov emphasized that in 2023 the republic will continue to fully implement programmes aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens. «As many as 68.8 billion roubles will be allocated for their implementation and they are provided for in our budget», Tatarstan President said.

Tatarstan President elaborated on a number of issues in detail. Thus, when preparing technical instructions for the construction of socio-cultural facilities, the real need for them is not taken into account, optimal options are not determined, the possibilities of the budget are not taken into account when forming costs. For example, the capacity of schools and kindergartens often includes a number of children hat are not actually available.

Last year, work on commissioning problematic share facilities continued. Work is underway, but there are still 4 problem facilities, Minnikhanov emphasized.

The capital repair programme of multi-apartment buildings is one of the largest and socially significant in the sphere of housing and utility services. Much is being done, but residents are complaining about violations of the terms of the overhaul and inadequate quality of work.

“The construction complex should be constantly in tension, we discuss these issues weekly. There are also systemic issues, everything should be efficient and of high quality. But, in general, I believe that we have one of the best construction complexes in the country. At the same time, we should work even better,” Minnikhanov said.

Further, the state awards of Tatarstan were handed over to the most distinguished representatives of the construction industry, as well as to veterans.
