Rustam Minnikhanov opens a new swimming pool in Zelenodolsk municipal region

On 25 December, during his working trip to Zelenodolsk municipal region Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a ceremony of opening a new swimming pool “Dulkyn (the wave) in the Vasilyevo settlement.

The swimming pool, which can serve 576 people a day, gives the possibility to all residents of the settlement to go in sports. Speaking at the ceremony, the Head of the region Mikhail Afanasyev said: “We could not even dream about having a swimming pool built so quickly in Vasilyevo. Before this, residents of the settlement had to go to Kazan or Zelenodolsk to swim, and this service is next to their houses”.

Rustam Minnikhanov said that “Vasilyevo used to sit on the sidelines and there were certain issues of development of its infrastructure, but is the last years we are closely watching the development of this settlement. The new swimming pool here is surely in demand and a good possibility to start swimming” and handed in the director of the complex a certificate for the sports equipment procurement.

Later the same day Tatasratn President visited the sports and tourist center “Drive Park”, where he watched exhibition performance of motorcycles, buggy and quad bikes.

Representatives of the administration of the region reported about investments projects, being implemented in Vasilyevo and the comprehensive development of its public amenities infrastructure.
