Rustam Minnikhanov: During holidays, special attention should be paid to ensuring public safety in the conditions of winter rainfall and unstable weather events

On December 17, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that in Tatarstan, the number of detected Covid-19 diseases increased by 19 percent and the incidence of SARS and influenza exceeded the epidemic threshold by 82 per cent. In this regard, since December 15 by the Decree of the Chief Medical Officer of the republic, a number of restrictive measures have been introduced.

During the meeting, Minnikhanov said that Christmas trees will be organized for children from the families of the mobilized.

Minnikhanov also instructed the Ministry of Sports of the republic to ensure the proper technical condition of indoor and outdoor sports facilities, their uninterrupted operation and accessibility for residents of the region during the winter holidays.

“On holidays, it is necessary to pay special attention to ensuring public safety, in conditions of winter rainfall and unstable weather events. This applies especially to the maintenance of roads, public spaces and yard areas. The uninterrupted operation of public transport should also be organized,” Tatarstan President said.

He instructed the relevant ministries and departments to organize a 24-hour duty for the entire period of the New Year holidays.
