On December 13, in the city of Saran, Karaganda region of Kazakhstan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar took part in a solemn ceremony of the production of the first Kazakh-made tire at KamaTyresKz. At the enterprise, the guests got acquainted with the stages of project implementation and visited the main production workshops.
Among the honored guests of the ceremony were Akim of the Karaganda region Ermaganbet Bulekpaev , as well as Director General of Tatneft Oil Company Nail Maganov (Tatarstan, Russia) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Allur Group of Companies (Republic of Kazakhstan) Andrey Lavrentiev, thanks to whom this joint project is implemented.
During the ceremony, Minnikhanov thanked the leadership of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan for supporting the development of Tatarstan-Kazakhstan cooperation and all those involved in the implementation of this project. “Kazakhstan is one of the leading foreign partners of Tatarstan. We are glad that our cooperation is only expanding every year”, he emphasized and congratulated all those present on the joyful event.
KamaTyresKz is the first new car tire manufacturing plant in Kazakhstan, previously similar products were completely imported, including from Tatarstan. The start of the construction of the enterprise was given in April 2021 and it is expected that the enterprise will reach its project capacity in 2024.
The plant will provide more than 1.100 qualified jobs and increase the localization of related industries, and will contribute to the strengthening of our economies. Products will be sent to the assembly of cars in Kazakhstan, as well as exported.
