Address of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov on International Anti-Corruption Day.

“Dear Tatarstan citizens! The world is changing rapidly, and this undoubtedly creates new challenges, new changes in the political, economic and social spheres.

In these circumstances, the Russian Federation is aimed at strengthening its force, independence and economic sovereignty.

Tatarstan together with our multinational Fatherland overcomes external and internal challenges. Under the collective restriction pressure on the Russian Federation, all levels and branches of government continue to work together, expressing unequivocal support for the leadership of the country. Tatarstan maintains its development due to the solid foundation laid over the years of uninterrupted operation of the production complex, human capital and developed infrastructure. Realizing that the multi-ethnic people is a significant resource for the development of the republic, we provide social guarantees for citizens and consistently implement national projects and regional programmes aimed at improving the quality of life of people.

Among the guarantors of the republic’s development is the involvement of Tatarstan people in the decision-making. Municipal authorities at all levels play an important role in efficient interaction with the population.

Digitalization is becoming an efficient mechanism for ensuring transparency in the functioning of State authorities. By the end of the year, we intend to complete the transfer of all state and municipal services to e-form, which will increase the openness and control of their provision to the population of the republic. Among the tools to increase the openness of the activities of authoroties and reduce corruption risks are the information systems "People's Control" and "Incident Management", which implement the possibility of obtaining feedback from the population, providing citizens with the opportunity to express their opinion and participate in resolving a wide range of issues. We intend to use and develop these platforms further.

People and their world view traditionally remain in the spotlight. The tasks of developing public institutions are systematically solved in the republic. To this end, educational work is carried out among the population in the media, aimed at the formation of such value orientations as respect for the law, overcoming legal nihilism and active rejection of any form of corruption.

On the International Anti-Corruption Day, we declare our determination to consistently take all measures to prevent corruption in the economic and social spheres of life and hope for the support of the anti-corruption policy from the people of the republic.
