Rustam Minnikhanov opens the Sber IT specialists technical hub

On 1 December Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Sber Board of Directors Stanislav Kuznetsov and the Senior Vice-president Andrey Belevtsev, who is also the head of the Sber Technologies block, took part in a solemn ceremony of opening the second technological hub for Sber employees, who develop digital products and services.

The technical hub, which covers the area of 3 500 square meters and can accommodate  up to 300 people, will be the place of work for developers, testing specialists, analytics, specialists  accompanying information systems, data scientists, cyber security experts and other IT specialists.

Welcoming participants of the event, Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that Tatarstan is a pilot region in many Sber projects including the programming school 21 and the SberApteka (e-drugstore).

“The technical hub we are opening today will become one of the key elements of the bank. It is here that highly qualified IT specialists will develop digital products of Sber. I am sure that the IT infrastructure developed in the republic will facilitate implementation of new ideas of Sber. Good Luck”, he said.

Rustam Minnkhanov also reminded that the first in the country center of Islamic banking was opened in Kazan today.

In his turn Stanislav Kuznetsov said that it was a pleasure to walk round the new IT-park. ”It is great that we are an anchor company in this park, which will the place to develop main flagship IT products without which the modern Sber cannot exist already”, he concluded.
