Dmitriy Chernyshenko and Rustam Minnikhanov visit an IT Park named after Bashir Rameyev

On 25 November Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Dmitriy Chernyshenko and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the new technical park IT-Park after Bashir Rameyev in Kazan, which has become the third technical park in the republic, the first opened in Kazan and Naberezhnyye Chelny in 2009 and 20012. The park is named after inventor Bashir Rameyev who developed first Soviet computers. Today about 2 700 companies with more than 40 000 people work in the sphere of information technologies in the republic.

The new IT Park, covering the area of about 50 thousand square meters, is focused on creating comfortable environment for digital industry, facilitation of startups and IT companies and the help to initiative youth and investment funds. On the top of offices it has a cyber sports arena, a children’s IT-park, a business incubator, co-working and so on.

During their visit Dmitriy Chernyshenko and Rustam Minnikhanov looked round the cyber sports arena, children’s IT-park, a digital library and conference room and got acquainted with IT projects in healthcare, education, sports, traffic safety, cyber security and unmanned transport .

Then Russian Vice-Prime Minister and Tatarstan President launched a technological entrepreneurship competition for schoolchildren ”High five” and, speaking to its participants, Chernyshenlo said: “You are doing cool things and your focus on business sense will help you to reach great achievements. I am greatly impressed as Tatarstan has created wonderful environment for you. I have not seen such technical parks as yours anywhere in the world”. 

In his turn Rustam Minnikhanov underlined that one of the most important tasks is to provide young people with qualitative IT education which is impossible without corresponding infrastructure. “We are very proud of this IT-park, it is one of the best in the country”, he concluded.
