On 25 November Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Dmitriy Chernyshenko held a plenary session of the Digital Innopolis Days 2022 Forum, which started in the City of Innopolis and is dedicated to digital transformation in education, business and public administration and held with participation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Russian Deputy Minister of Science and Education Darya Kiryanova, the Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the country Maxim Parshin and Russian Deputy Minister of Energy Eduard Sheremetyev.
Rectors and Vice-rectors of leading Russian universities use the forum platform as a possibility to communicate to leading world specialists in AI and digital universities and get acquainted with new educational formats and innovative thinking products.
Speaking at the plenary session, Rustam Minnikhanov underlined that one of the key topics of the forum is the digital transformation of Russian regions and added: “Tatarstan as a digital transformation leader is ready to share its experience”.
It is impossible to train qualified specialists without taking into account demand from companies and the federal project “Specialists for digital economy”, which has already proved it efficiency, was the beginning of using such approach, Rustam Minnikhanov said
He reminded that all this became a basis for establishment of an advanced engineering school in Innopolis for implementation of the large-scale federal programme.
In his turn Dmitriy Chernyshenko said that currently Russia needs high qualification specialists with digital skills for carrying our efficient import replacement and the Government has already launched its work in consolidation of scientific products ordering customers. It has approved 216 projects, the establishment and development of which will require more than 200 thousand new specialists, he said and added that the basic educational center of the Innopolis University will become the “One Window” for establishment and transfer of industrial centers technologies.
Prior to the plenary session Dmitry Chernyshemko and Rustam Minnikhanov visited an exhibition of scientific and technological achievements of the university and its 18 industrial partners engineering products, including such companies as Kaspersky lab, Yakclass, Glonass, GlobalLab, iSpring and CDO Global organized on the sidelines of the forum.
