Rustam Minnikhamov meets the Chairman of the Moscow Patriarchy External Church Relations Metropolitan Antony of Volokolamsk

On 25 November at their meeting in the Government house of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and the Chairman of the Moscow Patriarchy External Church Relations Metropolitan Antony of Volokolamsk, who is also the Vicar of Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia,  discussed issues of interaction with state and public organizations and cultural cooperation.

During the meeting, held with participation of the Head of the Tatarstan President’s Office Asgat Safarov, Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan Cyril and representatives of Moscow Patriarchy, it was underlined that Tatarstan attaches the most serious attention to preservation of traditional values and representatives of various ethnicities and religions have been living in peace and concord in the region for many centuries.

Metropolitan Antony of Volokolamsk came to Kazan on 23 November to take part in the conference of the International discussion club Valday held I Kazan on 23-24 November and dedicated to Religious Polyvocality and National Unity.
