On 24 November, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Kazan National Research Technical University after A. Tupolev-KAI.

In his opening speech Aleksey Pesoshin said that it was the first meeting of the Supervisory Board of this structure which comprises representatives of state power bodies, heads of the largest partner-enterprises of Russian Federation and the republic and graduates of the university.

“The main aim of the Supervisory Board is to consolidate organizational, financial and intellectual resources for implementation of the university strategic projects”, he said and stated that the main role in the programme of scientific and technological development of the republic by 2030 discussed by a meeting of the Council on Education and Science by Tatarstan President on 15 November of the current year is the close interaction of universities and industrial enterprises, implementation of new development into production and import replacement issues. “It is crucial to take the scientific and educational complex to a principally new level, collectively improve the system of training specialists that will be in demand with employers and be capable of solving challenging tasks “, Aleksey Pesoshin concluded.

The acting rector of the university Timur Alibayev told members of the Board about achievements of the university in the last few years and asked them to support establishment of regional engineering schools taking into account that this sphere is in great demand.

The Board also discussed organizational issues and voted for presented plan of its activities in 2023.
