On 19 November, speaking at a regional meeting held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Head of the Department of the Federal Tax Service in Tatarstan Marat Safiullin reported about introduction of the Unified Tax Payment and the Unified Tax Account.
He reminded that with the aim of simplifying tax payments Russian President has signed important laws on introduction of the unified tax account of a taxpayer from January 1, 2023 and an alternative of using the unified tax payment for the businesses from July 1, 2022. “Thus the tax bodies are transformed and move to a more qualitative and – most important- more understandable interaction with tax payers”, he said.
Marat Safiullin clarified that the Unified Tax Account is a form of accounting of payed taxes and the cumulative liabilities of a taxpayer to the budget, while the unified tax payment is an amount of money paid as taxes. The unified tax account will be opened in the Federal Treasury for every physical entity and an organization and taxes will be paid by a unified tax payment which will give the amount of payment and the Tax payer ID. Tax distribution will be carried out automatically by tax bodies, he said.
