Head of RT Government Rustam Minnnikhanov: “Construction of ammonia production complex in Tatarstan is a long-expected project”

Yesterday, on September, 15 Supervisory Board of Vnesheconombank headed by the Chairman of Russian Government Vladimir Putin approved $350 million for the project of construction of ammonia, methanol, granulated carbamide production complex in Mendeleevsk (Tatarstan).

RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnnikhanov informed about it today in RT Cabinet.

Total cost of the project is $972,7 million. It’s realized by “Ammony” Jsc, at “Mendeleevskazot” LLC plant which produce mineral fertilizers.

It’s planned that this complex will produce 717 000 tones of ammonia, 230 000 tones of methanol, 717 000 tones of carbamide and 380 000 ammonia nitrate per year. The payback period of the project is 6-7 years.

Licensor of the project is Haldor Topsoe (Denmark), contractor - Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (Japan), coordinator - Sojitz Corporation, gas supplier - “Tatgasinvest” Ltd. (regional operator of “Gasprom” Jsc).
