On 11 November, speaking at his meeting in the Kazan Kremlin with the Head of the Republic of Tuva Vladislav Khovalyg, who came on a working visit to Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that enterprises of the republic are very much interested in ramping up cooperation with such Russian region as Tuva.
The meeting was held in the Kazan Kremlin with participation of Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Oleg Korobchenko and Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov and the parties discussed issues of strengthening interregional cooperation and steps in increasing mutual goods turnover.
“I am sincerely happy to meet you. In 2016 I had a chance to visit your region and we saw a lot of interesting there. You are keeping your culture and traditions”, Rustam Minnikhanov said and stressed that both Tuva and Tatarstan are multi-ethnic regions.
“Our enterprises are interested in ramping up cooperation with your region as the interregional trade turnover is still rather small”, he said.
According to Tatarstan President, the republic is ready to develop cooperation in machine-building, including deliveries of KAMAZ trucks and their spare parts, to interact in implementation of energy, construction and infrastructure projects , deliver petrochemical and tyre products, gas-turbine engines, industrial and refrigerating equipment and other goods.
“We are ready to share our experience. I am sure by our joint efforts we will be able to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation between our regions”, Rustam Minnikhanov concluded and handed in Vladislav Khovalyg a state award of the republic – the medal “110 years to establishment of TASSR”
In the end of the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov and Vladislav Khovalyg signed an agreement on cooperation of their regions in economic, cultural, social and other spheres. The previous agreement was signed in 2016 and the new one is to facilitate expansion of mutually beneficial relations.
