Ten new companies have come to Innopolis Special Economic Zone

As a result of a meeting of the Innopolis Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Supervisory Board held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov in the regional Cabinet of Ministers on 17 October, 4 new residents and 6 partners joined the SEZ with the plan to invest 389.1m roubles and to create 153 jobs in total.

The Rusdroneport will develop an automated station for unmanned aviation systems with complex take-off and landing solutions as well as technological solutions for charging fuel and accumulators and the drones’ operational maintenance. The Gemoscan Company is planning to develop software for biological liquids diagnostics using machine vision and AI technologies.

The ISS Platform Company will develop a group videoconference and voting system based on blockchain technology of any complex closed networks, while the Qummy Foodtech startup will develop a technology for ready-made food preservation by “smart ice” up to 180 days with the same quality.

Transnational Power Company Gazprom VNIIGAS as a partner of Innopolis is planning to establish a center of competences for interaction with scientific organizations of Tatarstan and another partner the EnergoInnovation Company  set forth an objective of developing a charging infrastructure for electric cars in Innopolis and all over Russia

The Tech space Andromeda, Test It and The Union of business angel organizations are also new partners of Innopolis

Speaking to journalists, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov said: “Despite the current events Innopolis is actively developing, increasing the number of companies and jobs. Moreover we can see the increasing demand for IT specialists locally in the city of Innopolis”.

“Innopolis continues to grow and today not considering today’s approved projects there are 324 companies working here, which have created 12 500 jobs, attracted 67bn roubles of investments, got 122bn roubles of revenues and paid 17.2 bn of taxes”, he concluded.
