Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov meets the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the FESCO Group Andrey Severilov

On October 13, at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the FESCO Group Andrey Severilov.

Welcoming the guests, Minnikhanov thanked for the opportunity to visit the port of Vladivostok and see the work of the FESCO Transport Group. “You have a great potential, a well-coordinated team. Taking into account modern developments, transport and logistics activities, container transport are increasingly in demand. We are interested in cooperation, as Tatarstan is one of the largest industrial regions of Russia,” Tatarstan President said.

Minnikhanov also said that the Sviyazhsk Interregional Multimodal Logistics Centre is a platform that may be of interest to the FESCO Transport Group.

He also said that Tatarstan, being a region of Russia, is actively cooperating with Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, as well as Iran and Turkey. “We can be mutually beneficial,” he said, addressing FESCO representatives.

The parties agreed to consider the possibility of synchronizing the Group's new logistics products with Tatarstan's foreign trade development vectors, which are aimed at the economic cooperation with China and other Asian countries.

Severilov and Minnikhanov discussed the prospects for the development of the Group's intermodal services on the basis of interregional multimodal logistics centers in the region.

Representatives of ministries and departments of Tatarstan, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic – Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Oleg Korobchenko, Minister of Transport and Road Facilities Farit Khanifov, Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs' Rights for Tatarstan President Farid Abdulganiev took part in the meeting.
