On 12 October on the sidelines of the International Forum “Russian Energy Week” 2022 the Chairman of the Board of the Gazprom Company Aleksey Miller and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov signed a programme of development gas supply and gasification of the region by the end of 2025.
According to the programme Gazprom will provide gasification of nine villages and settlements of the republic and the territory of a promising Great Zelenodolsk region to the west of Kazan giving access to the gas network to 7 400 households and 13 boiler plants. The programme also envisages construction of 11 inter-settlement gas pipelines and creating conditions for connecting new consumers in eight regions of the republic.
Aleksey Miller and Rustam Minnikhanov also signed an agreement on expansion of using natural gas as motor fuel in Tatatsrtan, which aims at using ecological and lean-burn fuel by auto-, water and railways vehicles.
In particular, Gazprom will consider possibilities of implementing projects on construction of new gas-filling stations and Tatarstan government will create all conditions for transfer of regional transport to natural gas and increase the filling stations load, with all activities and date of concrete events being stated in a corresponding road map.
