Aleksey Pesoshin at the opening of the International Specialized Exhibition “Road 2022”: Our common task is to make roads more qualitative and safer every year

On 12 October, welcoming participants of the X International Specialized Exhibition “Road 2022” held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said: “It is a great honor for us to host such an important event in the capital of our republic - Kazan. Today Tatarstan is implementing large scale ambitious projects in various spheres, the main objective of which is to increase life quality of people. It is impossible to imagine today’s life without highways and automotive vehicles. Development of economy branches of the state directly depend on quality and safety of highways. High quality and safe roads are a guarantee of economic stability”.

He underlined that a correct approach to design, construction and operation has a substantial impact on providing traffic safety.

“Due to its geographic location Tatarstan has substantially growing transit and internal cargo traffic and today we are facing the following strategic tasks: preservation of the existing road network, increasing its operational conditions by carrying out complete set of work in modernizations, repair and maintenance and improvement and development of the road system. Already today Tatarstan is actively implementing large road construction projects such as the M-12 and M-7 speedways”, Prime Minister of the republic reminded.

For future development of the international transportation route of Europe-West China, the republic is building Alekseyevsk-Almetyevsk highway on the PPP basis, Pesoshin informed.

“The Russian Highways State Company is considering an issue of construction of a high speed transport route of “South-West bypass road “, which will partially go through our republic”, Aleksey Pesoshin informed.

In conclusion, having expressed his gratitude to Russian Government for the unprecedented support of development of transport infrastructure, Tatarstan Prime Minister wished all participants and organizers of the exhibition fruitful work, a constructive dialogue and efficient interaction.
