Rustam Minnikhanov meets the khokim of Jizzakh region in Uzbekistan

On October 10, during his working visit to Uzbekistan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the khokim of Jizzakh region Ergash Soliev.

Tatarstan President emphasized that the opening of Kazan Federal University branch in the city of Jizzakh was a good reason for the meeting. “I would like to express my gratitude for the attention and support in the implementation of this project to the leadership of the Republic of Uzbekistan and to you personally. I am convinced that the graduates of this university in the near future will become a reliable support for Uzbekistan and will contribute to its development,” Minnikhanov emphasized.

In his turn, the khokim thanked Tatarstan President for his active participation in establishing business relations between the republic and the region. There is a potential for the growth of mutual trade. This includes both engineering and agro-industrial complex. The sphere of tourism deserves special attention», he said. Minnikhanov said that the delegation has an interest in the engineering and aircraft cluster. Representatives of Tatarstan enterprises will have meetings with business circles of Uzbekistan.

“Uzbekistan is a dynamically developing economy with great growth potential. And we have many promising projects that could be useful for the development of both Uzbekistan and Tatarstan,” Minnikhanov added.
