Aleksey Pesoshin at Parliamentary hearings: Expense side of Tatarstan budget is quite objective and we must fulfill all social liabilities in full

On 7 October Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in Parliamentary hearings of the budget of the republic for 2023 and the planned period of 2024 and 2025 held at the State Council of the republic.

Speaking at the hearings, regional Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov reported about main indicators of the social and economic development forecast for 2023-2025 and Minister of Finances of the republic Radik Gayzatullin told the forecast of the Tatarstan consolidated budget for 2023 and the planned period of 2024 and 2025.

The meeting also considered a draft budget of the Territorial Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund for 2023 and the planned period of 2024 and 2025.

In the whole the budget revenues side in 2023 is defined to make 333.9bn roubles, while that of expenses – 361bn roubles.

Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin stated that the expense side of Tatarstan budget is quite objective and well balanced and in the whole the budgets for 2023-2025 have been planned with the 27bn roubles deficit.

“It is a forced measure but we should try to overcome the deficit first of all by expanding the taxation bas and elimination of tax arrears and optimization of expenses”, he said.

Aleksey Pesoshin stressed that the main objective for today is to provide workability of Tatarstan enterprises for further economic development. “Everything we are speaking about the revenue side is nothing without economy. The budget of the republic is still socially-oriented and we must fulfill all social liabilities in full and with adequate quality,” he concluded.
