On October 4, speaking at the solemn event held at the Kazan Kremlin and dedicated to the International Teacher’s Day, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the teaching profession is one of the most prestigious and respected. By their work and personal example, teachers lay the foundation of our future.
Tatarstan President emphasized that the celebration of the Teacher's Day takes place during the days of historical events, when compatriots from the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions have chosen the future together with a strong Russia. “On September 30, national leader Vladimir Putin signed agreements on the reunification of the liberated territories with our country. We have demonstrated to the whole world that we will ensure the protection of sovereignty and our citizens,” Tatarstan President said.
Addressing the teachers in the hall, Minnikhanov emphasized that the future of the country largely depends on them: who will come to work at our enterprises, hospitals, kindergartens and schools, who will defend our Motherland tomorrow.
According to Tatarstan President, there are many bright, talented teachers in the schools of the republic, who involve children in their discipline and give good knowledge. The results speak for themselves. Last school year as many as 237 Tatarstan children became winners and medalists of all-Russian Olympiads, three won the international Olympiads in chemistry and mathematics, and over 2000 graduates graduated with a medal.
Tatarstan President handed in state awards to the best teachers of the republic.
Two representatives of Kazan Federal University were awarded the Makhmutov State Prize of the republic.
