On September 30, during his working visit to Moscow, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with meets Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, curator of the Volga Federal District Dmitry Chernyshenko.

The meeting participants discussed breakthrough projects of the region, selected under the supervisory institute, introduced by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, the work of call centers of the unified service 122 to inform citizens on partial mobilization, and also preparations for holding the first in history "Games of the Future in Kazan in 2024.

Speaking about the implementation of breakthrough projects in Tatarstan, Chernyshenko emphasized that each of them has high social significance.

“Implementation of the projects will attract more than 200 billion roubles of investment to the region and create more than 40,000 new jobs. All of them are aimed at fulfilling the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin to achieve technological sovereignty and economic security. Today Tatarstan is one of the largest centers of training of highly qualified IT personnel, domestic digital products and services are being developed here. Work with industrial partners in engineering training is also being enhanced. Three advanced engineering schools have been launched in the region. I thank the leadership of the republic for their active participation in the implementation of federal projects,” Deputy Prime Minister of Russia said.

At the meeting, Chernyshenko noted that Tatarstan is also a region where a powerful sports cluster has been developed. In 2024, Kazan will host the first «Future Games» with the participation of young people from friendly countries. In preparation for them, on September 21-23, Phygital Games were held. About 100 athletes from five countries took part in them. Athletes competed in four disciplines: phygital football (FIFA and futsal), phygital basketball (NBA and streetball), drone racing, and Beat Saber VR game.

"Games of the Future" is a new format of sports. Each of the fifteen hybrid disciplines combines classic sports and e-sports,” Minnikhanov said.
