Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has come on a working visit to Turkmenistan

On 26 September  in his welcoming speech at his meeting with Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who came on a working visit to the country,  congratulated population of Turkmenistan with such an important date, having stated that in 30 years the country achieved huge successes in social and economic development.
“I express my deep gratitude to you for your support and special attention given to issues of development of Tatarstan-Turkmenistan cooperation aimed at strengthening relations between our countries,” he said.
Tatarstan President noted active cooperation of a number of enterprises of the republic and the trade turnover which reached 77.5m US dollars last year. At the meeting the parties also discussed necessity of expanding the range of products and increasing their volumes in particular in such spheres as oil production, gas transportation, auto-, aircraft and ship building, supply of chemical products and so on.
 
The Days of Tatarstan Culture in Turkmenistan are to be held in the cities of Ashgabat and Mary in the end of October this year, including events dedicated to 1100th anniversary of adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria. Tatarstan President expressed his special gratitude to Serdar Berdimuhamedov for his attention and support of Tatars living in Turkmenistan.
