Rustam Minnikhanov meets a delegation from Palestine

On 14 September at their meeting in the Government house of the republic in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and a delegation from Palestine, which came to Kazan within its visit to Russia, discussed issues of interaction in the support of the Strategic Vision Group Russia-Islamic World, which Minnikhanov heads since 2014. 

Speaking at the meeting, Tatarstan President said that main objectives of the Group are comprehensive facilitation of further rapprochеment of Russia and the Islamic world on the cultural and civilization basis, establishment of economic cooperation and broadening interaction of youth and public organizations. “Within the group we are working hard and our Palestinian colleagues also take an active part in it”, Rustam Minnikhanov said. 

He informed that the republic also actively works together with countries-members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which supports the yearly international economic summit “Russia-Islamic World: KazanSummit”. “This year Tatarstan broadly celebrated 100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria,” he concluded.
