Asgat Safarov takes part in a ceremony of opening a bust to Hero of Russia Damir Islamov

On 10 September the Head of Tatarstan President’s Office Asgat Safarov took part in a ceremony of opening a bust to Hero of Russia Damir Islamov erected at the Kazan Higher Armor School.

Speaking at the ceremony, Safarov said: “The first lieutenant Damir Islamov, who took part in the special military operation, passed his short life way decently and honestly. Everyone who knew him remember modesty, honesty and human decency of a humble guy from Leninogosrk.” 

Damir Islamov, who died heroically on 7 March this year during the special military operation in Ukraine, was awarded posthumously.

After laying the flowers to the monument, Asgat Safarov took part in an event dedicated to taking of the oath by first-year cadets of the Armor School.
