Rustam Minnikhanov at a meeting with Governor of Irkutsk region Igor Kobzev: Tatarstan and Irkutsk region are large industrial regions, we should ramp up the contacts

On 6 September at their meeting on the sidelines of the Far East Economic Forum, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of Irkutsk region Igor Kobzev signed an Action Plant on implementation of the agreement between the regions till 2025. 

In particular, Tatarstan President said: “ Tatarstan and Irkutsk region are large industrial regions, we should ramp up the contacts. The road map we have signed today defines promising spheres of cooperation till 2025. On our side the implementation of the plan will be coordinated by regional Ministry of Industry and Trade”.

In his turn, Igor Kobzev said: “We are interested in learning your managerial experience and would like to see how ministers and departments in your region work. The signed Action Plan includes such spheres as economy, education, agriculture, construction, healthcare and many others. I am sure the document will facilitate broadening the cooperation, strengthening inter-regional ties and implementation of the plans for the benefit of residents of our regions”.

According to the latest information the trade turnover between the regions amounts to about 6bn roubles, Tatarstan exporting trucks, diesel fuel, petrol, tyres, glass, detergents and perfumes, while Irkutsk supplies  medications, perfume and cosmetics, cables, salts and other goods.
