Rustam Minnikhanov meets Deputy Minister of Oil of Iran – Director General of the Iran National Petrochemical Company Morteza Shah Mirzaei

On 2 September at his meeting with Deputy Minister of Oil of Iran – Director General of the Iran National Petrochemical Company Morteza Shah Mirzaei, who came on a working trip to Tatarstan as a head of Iran delegation,  Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the republic has a huge interest to cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He expressed his gratitude to Iran colleagues for the attention they attach to development of cooperation with Tatarstan and for the visit. He said he was sure that the visit will give a new impetus to development of the bilateral relations.

“Tatarstan highly appreciates cooperation with Iran aimed at strengthening Russia-Iran relations. We have rich historic, economic and cultural ties and huge experience of interaction”, Minnikhanov said.

Tatarstan President also reminded that the administrations of Russia and Iran are tuned to continuous strengthening of bilateral cooperation, including implementation of joint trade and economic projects. Thus on 19 July of the current year Russian President Vladimir Putin was on a working trip to Tehran and the Iran President Sayyid Ebrahim Raisi visited Russia in January this year. Results of negotiations between heads of two states prove the political will to develop relations and bring them to the practical level, he concluded.
