On 1 September, speaking at a ceremony of opening a campus of the Cambridge International School Bala-City for 440 children in Kazan, the Head of Tatarstan President’s Office Asgat Safarov said: “In 2013 we opened the first multi-lingual kindergarten Bala-City and today a new school has opened its doors”.

He stressed that the educational chain of kindergartens and schools of Bala-City is one of successful examples not only in Tatarstan but in the whole of Russia. “They manage to combine Russian and international programmes. Our children should be miscellaneous and competitive. Moreover, in these educational facilities they teach our children to love their motherland, native land, native language and culture and to respect representatives of other ethnicities,” he said.

Director General of the ANCO Bala-City Albina Nasyrova said that the main difference of the new school was in the fact that children will be taught and learn about the world in several languages – Tatar, Russian, English, Chinese and Spanish taught by the Native speakers.

She added that the main mission of the school is to create conditions for self-fulfillment of children according to their requirements and interests and here they will implement projects in robotics, informatics, mathematics, ecology, entrepreneurship and natural sciences.

The school has learning classrooms for 20 children, scientific labs, IT-room, various self-development creative spaces, a culinary class, a cafeteria, and gym and recreation places.

Bala-City comprehensive education organization was established ten years ago and in 2018 it got the accreditation from the Cambridge University.
