Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in an opening ceremony of Tatarstan Oil, Gas and Petrochemistry Forum

On 31 August Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the UAE Suhail Mohammed Faraj Al Mazroui , Bahrain Minister of Oil and Ecology Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Dainah , Assistant of the Head of Russian President’s Office Anatoliy Yanovskiy and the President of Russia’s Union of Oil and Gas Producers Gennadiy Shmal took part in an opening ceremony of the Tatarstan Oil, Gas and Petrochemistry Forum held at the Kazan Expo exhibition Center. 

In his welcoming speech Rustam Minnikhanov thanked guests of the forum including foreign ones. “Our interaction, exchange of opinions and development on such platforms make us sure that our friendly relations will keep developing”, he said. 

Tatarstan President noted that more than 160 leading branch companies representing 26 regions of Russia and 4 foreign countries are taking part in a specialized exhibition. 

“I am sure that the forum will become an efficient tool for establishing new business contacts and uniting efforts for overcoming consequences of the current crisis. I wish all participants and guests of the forum interesting discussions and fruitful work”, he concluded.

Bahrain Minister of Oil and Ecology Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Dainah noted the high level of cooperation with Russia in oil, gas and petrochemistry and said he was sure the forum will facilitate development of new partnership ties and will make it possible to get acquainted with the latest developments of the branch. 

The main topics of the Tatarstan Forum held from 31 August till 2 September are decarbonization, import replacement and digitalization of the Russian fuel and energy complex and issues of providing specialists and engineers for petrochemical industry of Russia.

After the opening ceremony, Rustam Minnikhnov and other guests walked round one of the largest branch exhibitions TatOilExpo-2022 where producers and suppliers of gas and oil equipment, oil corporations and holdings and oil producing enterprises and refineries exhibited the latest developments. Then Tatarstan President awarded winners of the competition for the best exhibit, project or technical solution.

Later the same day in the presence of Tatarstan President,  Nizhnekamsneftekhim Company and Special Economic Zone of Alabuga signed an agreement of joint industrial and manufacturing work at the Ethylene 600 industrial park under construction.
